BALKANIC is a new and modern booking platform for online reservations in local properties such as hotels, villas, guest houses, apartments and studios, hunts and hunting residencies.
Our long-term goal is to popularise Bulgarian tourism, including different types of properties and to spread awareness of Bulgaria's breathtaking nature, old culture, authentic traditions, and history.
Our mission is to become the digital ambassador of Bulgarian tourism by providing a wide variety of quality and well-ranked properties in mountainous areas in Bulgaria.
BALKANIC stands up for its clear vision for equality between all partners. If you see yourself as a part of our project, please send your inquiry to hosts@balkanic.com after getting familiar with our policies.
1. Our booking platform works based on a commission, which is equal for all partners and hosts, regardless of the property type.
2. The host cannot negotiate the conditions and our policies for individual purposes.
3. Signing our two-sided contract is a fundamental step before the beginning of our partnership. In this way of speaking, every host has the right to read and get familiar with the whole contract and ask any questions before signing it.
4. After signing the two-sided contract, our team will book a visit to your property. We will consider a short-term date and appropriate time for both sides. It is an essential part of your application process to ensure that the property and customer service are on a high level.
5. After your inquiry about joining the BALKANIC family as a host is finally approved - we will be responsible for several tasks regarding your property:
- We will create your account on the admin level (after that, you can change the password for your security);
- We will introduce the platform in a short training course for management and settings in your host account;
- If you don't have professional photography for your property, we will do it for free;
- We will create and upload the descriptive content for your property, rooms and features. Furthermore, the BALKANIC team will translate the content in all languages for our booking platform;
- We will upload the gallery for the property.
IMPORTANT: In any case, when you need a correction in content, images and prices - you can keep in touch with our friendly team, and all changes will be updated in less than two (2) working days.
6. The registration of your property is our main task. That is the reason why you should send an inquiry to hosts@balkanic.com.
7. Changing your password is recommended after accessing your admin account.
8. The host or the manager manages the bookings, including the booking calendar.
9. All guest reviews are public, and you can reply to each of them personally in a comment.
10. Booking cancellation policies are attached as a separate document in your contract. You can read them and ask any questions before signing the two-sided contract.

The application process takes up to 3 working days. Our team works effectively to optimise the time for final decisions.

Which properties are most welcome to join BALKANIC?
BALKANIC creates opportunities for all property types: from family hotels, hotel resorts, winery complexes, villas, guest houses, apartments and studios to hunts and hunting residencies in or near Bulgaria's mountainous areas. You are all welcome to join our family.
Every host matters! With our clear vision, we stand up for every property, regardless of size and capacity. In other words, a host with a beautiful and well-ranked hotel resort is as welcome as other hosts with authentic villas and traditional guest houses.
We firmly believe that everyone has a different definition of "value", and every property has its charm and cosiness.
We take into account three (3) primary standards that have a significant impact when you submit an application form for joining the BALKANIC family:
- Customer service and gentle attitude regarding guests and tourists;
- Property rating in different platforms (ex: Google My Business, Facebook, and other booking platforms);
- The whole condition of the property and its maintenance.
Suppose you are an excellent and easy-going "landlord" (owner or manager), and you have a gentle attitude towards your guests while taking care of the condition of your property. In that case, you are most welcome to send your inquiry for participation.
Why only properties in mountainous areas of Bulgaria can join BALKANIC?
Our primary and fundamental focus is on mountain tourism in small villages and cities in these areas. In our brand storytelling, you can see "BALKAN", a reference to "mountain". BALKANIC is our way to help many people find peace of mind in mountainous areas while learning our ancient history, culture, and traditions and simultaneously discovering our beautiful nature.
Bulgaria has many breathtaking places in our Balkan Range that keep and protect our ancient Bulgarian roots. Our mission is to help people awaken and appreciate what we have hidden under our noses. Every adventurous soul can get to know the Balkan differently with BALKANIC.
What about properties in our Seaside (Black Sea area)?
You shouldn't be concerned. Such a great project like BALKANIC always finds a way to collaborate with businesses and hosts in other areas like our fantastic seaside.
